PURPOSE:To improve oil resistance, anti-plasticizer properties and water-proofing properties by using a glycidyl amine compound as a cross-linking agent in a thermal recording material consisting of a thermal coloring layer provided on a support and further, an overcoat layer based on resin and a cross-linking agent provided on the thermal coloring layer. CONSTITUTION:A glycidyl amine compound shown by formula (1) is used as a cross-linking agent for an overcoat layer. In this type of glycidyl amine compound, R is an alkylene group, an arylene group or an aralkylene as a divalent hydrocarbon group. A cross-linking agent such as polyamidoepichlorohydrin used cconventionally can be used with the glycidyl amine cross-linking agent. The recommended resin used as an overcoat layer is water-soluble resin such as polyvinyl alcohol, cellulose derivative, starch and its derivative or modified polyvinyl alcohol of carboxyl group. |
