PURPOSE:To form an image without lighting two or more line heads at the same time to prevent a temporary increase of a power demand by a method wherein at least respective printing devices are controlled so that two or more of the printing devices are not simultaneously actuated. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic photosensitive belt 1 serving as an image holding body is provided with a photoconductive layer on a conductive belt surface. The photosensitive belt 1 electrified by a charger 4 is exposed to light by a line head 5Y. A first latent image is formed thereon. The first latent image is developed by an yellow developer 6Y. Then, an yellow visible image is formed on the photosensitive belt. The photosensitive belt 1 is exposed to light by a line head 5M. A second latent image is formed thereon. The second latent image is developed by a magenta developer 6M. A magenta visible image is formed. Respective image forming processes are not simultaneously conducted but individually conducted in order. |
