PURPOSE:To minimize the number of devices realizing a plurality of functions, and to ensure reliability equal to conventional devices by adding a plurality of functions to hardware by software and arbitrarily combining and using others while leaving at least one stand-by facility regarding hardware for an output. CONSTITUTION:When a relay element is set 1, a relay element 8 is controlled so as to arithmetically operate an overcurrent relay (hereinafter called OC-RY) and the relay element so as to arithmetically operate a distance relay (hereinafter called DZ-RY). When the relay element is set 2, a relay element 9 is controlled so as to arithmetically operate OC-RY and a relay element 10 so as to arithmetically operate DZ-RY. When the relay element is set 3, the relay element 10 is controlled so as to arithmetically operate OC-RY and the relay element 8 so as to arithmetically operate DZ-RY. Setting 1 is selected and the relay elements 8 and 9 are used on normalcy, and setting 2 is selected and the relay elements 9 and 10 are employed when a fault is generated in the relay element 8. Accordingly, continuous running is enabled without locking an equipment even at the time of the fault of one element (H/W). |
