The non-woven fibre matting with oriented fibres for use as blanks in injection moulding to reinforce cpd. polymer materials, is formed by a layer of fibre strands with an adequate vol. of a bonding agent to give shape stability and strength. A layer of oriented discrete fibres is applied with a greater resin requirement than the reinforcing layer, in a sufficient height to give a smooth outer surface when the reinforcement material is used in a shaped reinforced polymer. ADVANTAGE - The material gives a good reinforcement for polymers in injection moulding and also for liq. composite moulding applications. (0/4)
