A child-resistant trigger operated pump dispenser has a latch (43) pivotally mounted on the trigger (28) for preventing trigger actuation. The latch has an arm (47) projecting forwardly of the trigger to facilitate pivotal movement of the latch against the bias of the spring (49) for unlocking the trigger to permit pumping.
