PURPOSE: To enhance efficiency of solution recovery process while detecting occurrence of uncollectable state automatically by reducing the air pressure in a waste liquid container to a predetermined level, closing a valve when an increased pressure is detected and delivering an alarm if an increased pressure is not detected even upon elapsing a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION: Prior to recovering a solution, the air pressure in a waste liquid cell 14 is reduced by a vacuum pump 17 to a predetermined level lower than the outer air pressure and a measured solution in an RBC cell 10 is recovered into the waste liquid cell 14 through a duct 16b. Upon finishing the recovery, the air pressure in the cell 14 increases abruptly to the level of the outer air pressure and the pressure being detected by a pressure sensor 20 also increases and a solenoid valve 15b is closed simultaneously with finishing the collection of the solution. When the cell 10 is not emptied due to clogging of the duct 16b, for example, a buzzer 29 sounds. According to the arrangement, collection can be carried out efficiently and uncollectable state due to clogging of duct can be alarmed. |
