<p>Container of type in which an inner vessel is secured to a rigid outer jacket by its filling neck, the jacket space being evacuated and packed tight with powdered lagging material; essentially, the wall thickness of the inner vessel is reduced so that when it is loaded with cryogenic liquid the resulting thermal it is loaded with cryogenic liquid the resulting thermal contraction is at least counteracted by volumetric expansion due to liquid weight, internal pressure and jacket psace vacuum. The thin vessel wall thus transmits loading via the lagging material to the jacket. The construction saves 70% of wt. inner stainless steel vessel for 3,000 litres container.</p> |
