PURPOSE:To attain reduction in cost and miniaturization by carrying out communication between a device main body and an option by means of optical communication and using a low voltage circuit being reinforced and insulated, as an option exclusive DC power source. CONSTITUTION:A DC power source 6 for the device main body 6 and the option exclusive DC power source 7 are provided on the device main body 1, and the communication between the device main body 1 and the option 2 is carried out by the optical communication of 4a 9b, and 9a 4b, and the low voltage circuit reinforced and insulated is used as the option exclusive DC power source 7. Therefore, only the option 2 is placed on the device main body 1, so that connection for the communication and the supplying of electric power is carried out, and an operation is easily carried out when jam processing is carried out. Thus, the reduction in size and cost is attained and the excellent option attachment of the option is carried out with an easy operation. |
