<p>An ink jet composition useful in thermal, multi-color ink jet printers is provided that has the properties of reduced color mixing between adjacent drops of different colors when the drops are impacted onto paper during printing. The ink composition comprises an aqueous solution that consists essentially of a color dye and a bleed retarding agent. A particularly preferred bleed retarding agent is 2-(2-butoxyethoxy)ethanol.</p> |
