The system has a bed (2) of transport rollers (3), with one or more H-profiled grinding wheels (4) in its centre. Directly above the lower grinding wheels are complementary and identical wheels which can be forced down onto the girder (1) by a hydraulic cylinder (5). The four edges of an H-section girder each pass through the grooves of one of the hardened steel wheels (4), which produce two to three mm radii on all external edges.
