<p>Link row is guided along parallel to the warp threads of the carrier tape and the loom needle is then passed between the spread warp threads alternately above and under the row of links. The thread carried back together with the retracting needle and forming the wefts of the carrier tape is looped round each single link in the row, from above and below, by means of a thread placer or guide which rides up and down in a holder via recessed areas of the link guide. The tape can have a roll or strand reinforcement along it, and the thread placer should be U shaped, disc in design. The loom raises throughput, handles increased lengths of fastener at one time, provides a double looped securement.</p> |
