<p>Mixture is based on a) 5 - 30 wt.% monomeric esters of methacrylic acid with mono.- and/or polyhydric alcohols, in which is not >20 wt.% methacrylic ester can be replaced by other monomeric polymerisable vinyl cpds., and b) 95 - 70% inorganic or organic solid(s), which is insoluble in monomer (mixture). It can also contain minor amounts of dyestuffs or pigments and opt. polymerisation accelerators and is cured, pref. with familiar polymerisation catalysts. This mixture is used instead of concrete in the building sector, esp. in underground and surface engineering. Polymer-free mixture has very low viscosity and flows well. Binder consumption is relatively low. Cured material has extremely good mechanical strength compressive and flexural strength being about 3 times values for cement-bound concrete.</p> |
