A connecting device for angularly orientated ducts A, A<1> comprises casings 4, 41 permanently attached, as by welding, in a fluidtight manner, one to the end of each duct, each duct casing having an upwardly-opening recess 6, 6<1> defining a plane sealing face 10, 10<1> perpendicular to the duct axis and surrounding the duct mouth and a lower semi-cylindrical side surface, a connecting pipe B bearing a cylindrical member 8, 81 at each end, each member adapted to enter the respective recess and having a plane sealing face for co-operation with the casing face 10, or 10<1>, 0-ring seals 20, for insertion between co-operating faces, and locking bolts 14, 141, each bolt being mounted in the respective casing opposite the duct mouth and operable to urge the co-operating faces together. The sealing ring of each cylindrical member is received in a groove 18 defined in the plane sealing face.</p> |
