PURPOSE:To prevent the loss of lubricant included in a liquid coolant, and to always carry out good rolling works, by separating the lubricant adsorbed by metallic powders utilzing the difference of specific gravities, and by returning the separated lubricant to a recycling line. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic separator 10 is rotated in the liquid coolant, iron powders are attracted to the rotating surface by the magnetic force; a part of the rolling mill oil adheres to the surface of iron powders as the core. Some impurities are being adsorbed by the rolling mill oil so that the coolant discharged from a rolling mill is cleaned and is returned to a tank 2 through a pipe line 9. Meanwhile, the iron powders, impurities and the rolling mill oil collected on the outer surface of the magnetic separator 10 are removed away by a scraper 11 and are sent to a centrifuge 12 through a pipe line 13. The rolling mill oil is centrifugally separated from the iron powders and impurities by the difference of specific gravities in the centrifuge 12; thus separated rolling mill oil is returned to the coolant held in the tank 2 through a pipe line 14 and is reused; the iron powders, etc., are separately discharged and are are disposed. |
