PURPOSE:To accurately transmit information on a road, a position, etc. in a short time by letting the light of a traffic signal flicker at high speed, outputting information on a position, a road, etc. via a pulse modulation device and using the conventional traffic signal and a light detector/decoder for flickering information on a car side which is traveling. CONSTITUTION:When a car 25 approaches a signal 10, fixed or invariable information outputted as a pulse signal by lights 12 is detected by a light detector 26 in a car. The detected pulse signal is deciphered by a decoder 32, outputted to a comparison/retreival device 40 and inputted as accurate information on a position. Therefore the position of oneself is corrected, a data base 42 is retrieved, one's position is indicated in a map displayed on a picture display device 48, a hard copy can be obtained if necessary and traffic/road information, etc. are transmitted in a voice. |
