Improvements to the subject of main patent no. 8702253(2) for brake system for railway vehicles, whereby the rocking plates 1 carrying the brake pads 4 are arranged so that they are mounted with their rotational shafts 2 encased at their ends in respective threaded poles 12 in the fixed structure 3 of the vehicle, being pushed inside said holes 12 by corresponding springs 13, in the direction of separation of the plates 1 from the discs 5 of the fixed elements 6 of the brake, whilst the guides 9 between which the sliding actuation plate 10 is encased are formed by U-shaped profiles which are joined to the plates 1 via the sole rotary central anchoring 15, thus being self-orienting in the alignment of actuation of the mechanism for activating the brake. <IMAGE>
