PURPOSE:To image an extremely small component axially of a nozzle and to effectively mount it on a printed board by providing four cutouts on the side of a cylindrical part in contact with an electronic component of an electronic component suction nozzle. CONSTITUTION:Four rectangular cutouts 9A, 9B, 9C, 9D symmetrical to an axial center are formed at the edge of a nozzle 8, suction ports are formed in a shape similar to an ellipse by coupling the two opposed semicircles by two parallel straight lines. Both ends of two opposed long sides of a rectangular electronic component 2, totally four ends are all present in an entire contour image of the component 2 and the nozzle 8. The component 2 is sucked at displacement (DELTAX, DELTAY, DELTAtheta) to the axial center of the nozzle 8. The binarized entire image is approximated by a polygonal shape, and the coordinate values X, Y of the vertex 14 are calculated. Thus, only the image of the component 2 is extracted, the position (graphical center) of the center of gravity of the polygonal shape and the direction of the inertial main axis are calculated to calculate the displacement DELTAX, DELTAY, and DELTAtheta. |
