Two polyester filament semi-drawn yarns, whose single fiber fineness is 0.5-1 d. respectively are doubled using each yarn as core yarn and effect yarn, while setting excess feed rate of core yarn at 4-6 %, that of effect yarn at 12-18 %. The doubled yarn is passed through water jet of which the temperature is 30-40 deg.C and air-interlaced with the sir-pressure of 4-5 kg/cm2, thus making polyester multifilament yarn which features cotton-like appearance, excellent touch and powder-like feel after weaving.
