摘要 |
PURPOSE:To enhance strength and toughness by mixing Al2O3 particles of a specified particle size with fine TiN particles of a specified particle size and fine Si3N4 particles of a specified particle size in a prescribed volume ratio, then molding and calcining the mixture. CONSTITUTION:Al2O3 particles of <=5mum particle size are mixed with 3-40vol.% fine TiN particles of <=2.0mum particle size and further mixed with 3-40vol.% fine Si3N4 particles of <=2mum particle size. The mixture is press-molded and calcined at >=1,500 deg.C in an atmosphere of gaseous N2 to obtain a ceramic composite material having high strength and toughness and contg. fine TiN particles and fine Si3N4 particles dispersed in the crystalline grains of the Al2O3 matrix of 0.5-100mum grain size. |
