<p>PURPOSE:To effectively use a storage means storing serial data by generating a signal showing the propriety of the reception of data at different modes in accordance with a signal showing transfer speed outputted from an output means and transmitting said data to a transmission side from a control means. CONSTITUTION:Whether a printer can receive data is decided by the level of a data terminal ready(DTR) signal and it can not receive data when DTR is in a mark state and it can receive it when DTR is in a space state. The real capacity of a reception buffer is written into a buffer remaining amount counter provided for RAM 128. When it becomes receivable, DTR and request- to-send(RTS) signals are set to the space state and that a printer-side is in a receivable state is informed to a host. When a reception amount increases and the buffer remaining amount counter coincides with the value of a buffer full register, a DTR flag is set. The DTR and RTS signals are set to the mark state and that data cannot be received is informed to the host device 120 through a recording data reception part 122.</p> |
