<p>The PTC element comprises one body (10) provided with two parallel large surfaces, of an electrically conductive polymer composition with a positive temperature coefficient. Each body is provided with two large preferably parallel surfaces. If a body contacts an electrode, one of its surfaces makes free contact with its associated electrode (11). When there are two or more bodies which contact each other via their large surfaces, one pair of these contacting surfaces make free contact with each other and/or one of the surfaces which contact an electrode makes free contact with its associated electrode. A pressured device is adapted to exert on the electrodes a pressure directed perpendicular to the large surfaces on the bodies. The parallel surfaces on the body of polymer composition may be concentric.</p> |
