A knob 11 is secured on the D-shaped end of a shaft 12 by a spring clip 10, the base portion 16 of which is U-sectioned opening out into opposed D-shaped wing portions 18, the clip tapering axially so that it is deformed into frictional engagement with the shaft and knob when these members are brought into engagement. The base portion 16 is formed with a sharp locking tab 20 which penetrates the wall of the knob cavity. |
