PURPOSE:To repair a fault only by operating a selected actuator means by deciding whether or not there is the fault and diagnosing the fault state, and executing a repair plan which can remove secondary influence. CONSTITUTION:A digital signal/symbol conversion part 11 converts digital signals from sensors 1a - 1c into symbols according to reference value data which are characteristic to the object machine and stored in an object model storage part 14 and a fault diagnostic part 12 evaluates the symbols to decide whether there is the fault or not, diagnose the fault, and simulate the fault state, thereby determining the fault symptom and fault cause of the object machine. Then a repair planning part 15 reasons a repairing method, develops plural repair plans derived by the reasoning on a mathematical model, and selects the repair plan which exerts the least secondary influence. |
