SELF-DIAGNOSTIC AND SELF-REPAIRING SYSTEM FOR IMAGE FORMING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To predict the secondary influence upon the parameters of other actuators when one actuator is put in operation by deciding whether or not the image formation device is abnormal according to state data from a sensor means, and selecting the actuator means to be put in operation and simulating the secondary influence exerted when the actuator means is put in operation. CONSTITUTION:The state information from sensors 1a - 1c is converted by a digital signal/symbol conversion part 11 into symbol feature data and a self- diagnosis is taken through a fault diagnostic part 12 and an object model storage part 14 to decide whether the device is abnormal or not. A repair planning part 15 reasons which of the actuators 6a - 6c should be put in operation so as to repair the fault and selects the actuators 6a - 6c. A fault simulation part 13 simulates whether the secondary influence is exerted or not when the actuators 6a - 6c are put in operation. Secure self-repair is performed by this prediction.
