PURPOSE:To rapidly execute retrieval, transmission, etc., by extracting one of color image data R, G, B and using the selected data for the following processing. CONSTITUTION:A color digital image inputted from an image processing part 3 in a host station 1 is divided into R, G and B data and stored in a frame memory 5. The three data are compressed as highly accurate color images by a registering processing part 6, only the G data are extracted and similarly compressed and both the data are stored in a storage part 8 through a filing processing part 7. When the host station 1 requests the rapid reference of the stored data, a reference processing part 10 extracts the compressed G data from the storage part 8 through the processing part 7, executes the extending processing of the extracted G data and then transfers the extended G data to a distribution processing part 9. Quite the same data as the extended G data are formed as R and B data and the formed R, G and B data are collectively written in the R, G and B areas of the frame memory 5. Although a monochromatic image is displayed on a display part 4, the display speed can be improved due to the small volume of data and simple processing contents. |
