PURPOSE:To obtain the title lubricating oil having good compatibility with hydrofluorocarbon compounds, good lubricity, and low moisture absorptivity by using a specified polyoxyalkylene glycol as the principal component. CONSTITUTION:The title lubricating oil contains as its principal component a polyoxyalkylene glycol shown by the formula [wherein R<1> is 1-1OC alkyl or 1-1OC aliphatic hydrocarbon group having 2 to 6 bonding sites; R<2> is 4C alkylene; R<3> is 1-10C alkyl; (n) is 1 to 6, (o) and (p) are each an integer of 0 or greater, and (q) is an integer of 1 or greater, provided that the average of (o+p+q)Xn is 4 to 40, q/(o+p+q) is 0.1 or greater, and o/(o+p+q) is 0.2 or smaller ] and purified so as to provide a volume resistivity at 80 deg.C of 1X10<10>OMEGAcm or higher. This lubricating oil has good compatibility with a hydrofluorocarbon refrigerant, such as hydrofluorocarbon 134a, and is excellent in lubricity and electrical insulating properties; therefore, it is suitably used as a lubricating oil for a compression refrigerating machine having an integral motor, such as an electric refrigerator and an electric freezing chamber. |
