<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of material needed for construction and lower the construction cost by forming the storage space of the outer wall of a tank and the outer wall of the device, and providing a duct for conveying and feeding chaff, and a discharge device thereof. CONSTITUTION:To store chaff in the chaff storage device, the chaff is conveyed from a husking deice 9 through a duct 3 and thrown from above into a storage space 2. To take the chaff out of the storage device and use it for compost or the like, the chaff is made to flow out of an opening at the bottom of the device and conveyed by a screw conveyor to a compost plant or the like (not shown). When a grain tank made of steel plates is provided with the chaff storage device, heat insulation material has to be applied only to the outer wall area of the device if the insulation material is interposed between the outer wall 1 and the inner lining 14, in comparison to conventional devices in which the heat insulation material had to be applied over the circumference of the tank outer wall (a). As a result, the same heat insulation effect as in the conventional devices is attained with less amount of heat insulation material.</p> |
