PURPOSE:To make it possible to redraw at high speed regardless of an amount of information on the contents of drawing by transferring from an already drawn picture as it is only a section with high line segment density taking time for graphic drawing. CONSTITUTION:A picture is drawn and divided into block areas 4-19. Next, the number of line segments 1 within each block 4-19 is counted, the number of composite line segments is divided by block area, and a total number of line segments is divided by block area to obtain a line density within a block. Further, the density of each block is compared with a threshold value, blocks with high line segment density are separated from those with low line segment density and they are stored, respectively. Furthermore, when redrawing is necessary, block with high line segment density are transferred, followed by transferring blocks with low line segment density to carry out drawing. With this, redrawing can be executed at high speed without installing more expensive hardware apparatus. |
