<p>A pair of dental forceps (10), whether configured for anterior, premolar or molar teeth, includes a pair of cushioning and gripping inserts (34) removably mounted in depressions (32) disposed in opposed jaws (18, 20) of the pair of forceps. The depressions (32) are configured to correspond with the respective labial (232) and lingual (234) surfaces of the associated tooth (230). The pair of inserts (34) conformingly grippingly and frictionally retain a respective dental prosthetic device, such as a crown, to be removed without imposing stress concentrations sufficient to mar or damage the dental prosthetic device. The jaws may be formed as tips (200) removably attached to a pair of forceps (150).</p> |
