Pyridine and pyridine N-oxide derivatives of diaryl methyl piperidines or piperazines represented by structural formula (1.0) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof are disclosed, which possess anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activity. Pharmaceutical compositions containing and methods of using the compounds are also described.
