The invention concerns a process for purifying exhaust gases, in particular for the removal by filtration of carbon particles from exhaust gases produced by diesel engines and by heating installations in buildings, as well as a device for carrying out this process. The exhaust gases are passed through a special high-temperature-resistant filter material disposed in a filter chamber surrounded by a gas-permeable sheath, preferably also made of high-temperature-resistant material, through which the purified gas emerges. |
