PURPOSE:To enable the customer of a POS terminal to eliminate the burden of re-inputting a transaction result for computer processing of the transaction result by recording the content of transactions when transacting with the customer and by providing the customer with the record together with a receipt. CONSTITUTION:An IC card reader/writer 6 with an IC card 8 inserted reads an IC card information section from IC card 8 and sends IC card information to a main control section 1, and the main control section 1, if the number of a relevant sales office is present in the read out IC card information, inputs a code number from a keyboard 3 to check. Next, a bar code label 9 attached to a product is read using a bar code reader section 2, displays information about a relevant product type division, and product name and price on a display section 4 and outputs the information to a printer 7 to print it out. Further, the IC card reader/writer 6 records dealing information for IC card 8. Thereby, when the customer carries out computer processing of his own dealings, it is not necessary to re-input the content of receipt the customer has received. |
