A biotechnological reaction vessel has stationary and mobile fittings for heating (4), mixing (3) and mounting of sensors (5), has reaction medium inlet and outlet nozzles and consists of a prismatic or cylindrical tube (1) sealable by two end plates (2). Stirring and heating devices (3,4) are mounted in one or both end plates (2) and that the sensors (5) extend through sockets into the vessel in at least two rows of alternately crossing sensor shafts. The shaft rows define, together with the inner tube wall, a number of axially extending spaces which depend on the shaft intersection angle and intersection point position and which accommodate the heating and stirring devices (3,4). USE/ADVANTAGE - The vessel is useful for fermentation, enzyme reactions and the like. The design allows fitting of a max. number of sensors into a minimal reactor vol., facilitates disassembly for cleaning and allows the sensors to remain in their sockets during disassembly for protection against damage.
