A production process for liquid crystal display element is characterized by (A) laminating oriented films (3a,3b) on the glass substrate (1a,1b) patterned with transparent electrodes (2a,2b), and (B) pre-heat treating the laminated glass substrates for 30-60 secs. on the silicon rubber heated by a hot plate of which the temperature is kept at 80-120 deg.C. This process can rule out the irregularity of oriented films and so improve the screen image of liquid crystal display element of white/black STN mode or negative driving blue mode.
