摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain thermal recording material which has adequate coloring sensitivity and high background whiteness and is suited for high-speed recording by using a specific compound as an auxiliary component for thermal recording material using coloring reaction between leuco dye and its developer. CONSTITUTION:Butadiene compound shown by formula as an auxiliary component is highly capable of dissolving a developer and leuco dye when heated. In the formula, R1, R2 are a lower alkyl group; R2 is hydrogen atom, halogen atom, etc.; R4 is hydrogen atom, halogen atom and an alkoxy group, etc.; m is an integer of 1 to 4; and n is an integer of 1 to 5. Butadiene compounds shown by the formula are such as 1-(4-dimethyl-aminophenyl)-1-phenyl-1,3- butadiene. Leuco dye is, for example, leuco compounds such as triphenyl methane and fluoran. The developers are, for example, electron-receptive phenol compound and thiophenol compound which cause the leuco dye to color when coming in contact with the dye. Coating liquid for forming a thermally coloring layer containing each component is applied to any appropriate support such as paper.
