PURPOSE:To unify a copy sheet regardless of the size of a document and to carry out the copying of a magnification suitable for a sheet by automatically setting the feeding of the copy sheet of prescribed size selected in advance and a proper copying magnification for copying all images on the copy sheet, according to the size and placing way of the document. CONSTITUTION:While the copying is carried out through the use of an ADF 200 where the documents of the size of various kinds are mixed and placed, a document size sensor SSE detects the horizontal placing or vertical placing of the document, and the copy sheets of the prescribed size of the horizontal placing the vertical placing are selected in matching with respective placing ways, and automatically fed from first and second paper feeding cassettes 91 and 92. On the other hand, the proper copying magnification is automatically set from the size of the document and the size of the copy sheet. For instance, when the documents of the horizontal placing of A4-size and the vertical placing of A3-size are mixed and placed on the document tray 203, the A4-size of the copying sheet is specified, the copying of the horizontally placed document of the A4-size is executed on the vertically placed copy sheet of the A4-size at the same magnification, and the copying of the vertically placed document of the A3-size is executed on the vertically placed copy sheet of the A4-size at the magnification of 0.707. Therefore, the size of the sheet is unified to A4, and the copying magnification is not reduced unnecessarily. |
