Visual display of lengths of musical notes - by using board divided to illustrate values of range of notes
摘要
A device for displaying a visual analogy of the lengths of different musical notes consists of a flat rectangular board with one long side and the two short sides having raised edges. The distance (a) between the raised edges of the short sides represents the length of a semi-breve, whilst half the length represents a minim, a quarter length represents a minim with similar sub-divisions to represent crotchets and quavers. These lengths may be represented by sheets of paper of corresponding length which are attached to the device. The device can also be used in indicate the number of beats to the bar. USE/ADVANTAGE - Aid to musical instruction with visual display.
