Method of producing bis/hydroxypropylane / bisphenol A ether with only one mole of propylene oxide for each hydroxy bisphenol group, due to addition of the propylene oxide to bisphenol A in presence of the catalyst; is characterised in that liquid mixture of bisphenol A with its derivative containing symmetrically attached two moles of propylene oxide to one mole of bisphenol A, with ratio of bisphenol A equal to 10-70% by weight, optimally 40-65% by weight, is subjected to temperature of 70-160 degrees C, optimally 110-120 degrees C, in reaction with propylene oxide in the presence of triethylamine, applied in ratio of 0.1-5% by weight, optimally 0.25-0.50% by weight in relation to the total mass after the reaction, with the molar ratio of the propylene oxide to bisphenol A amounting to minimum 2:1, optimally 2.1-2.4:1, subsequently catalyst is released from the final product by decomposition of the formed complex of triethylamine with used propylene oxide under reduced pressure, optimally close to 0.00 MPa, and at temperature of 130-160 degrees C, optimally 130-140 degrees C; and the products of this decomposition, including unapplied in the process propylene oxide, are distilled off.
