<p>The invention provides an anti-fouling composition comprising a selective metal-chelating micro ion exchange resin capable of binding copper, a viscosity-controlled matrix, and optionally one or more components selected from the group consisting of a marine biocide, a film-forming binder, and a pigment. The composition may be used in paints for prevention of fouling of aquatic organisms, or may be incorporated into polymers such as polyester or polyethylene. The polymers may be extruded into filaments in the manufacture of ropes and nets.</p> |
