Improvements to devices for sampling soil intended to be analysed, of the type comprising a carriage (1) formed by an axle (2), at each end of which a wheel (3) turns freely, an upright (4) rising from a middle point of the axle (2) and ending in a handle (5), a series of containers (6, 7, 8) arranged along the upright (4) and each including a bar (10), a spike (20) intended to be driven into the soil and having a longitudinal groove (22), means (19) for guiding the spike along the containers so that the bars (10) interact with the groove (22) in order to extract the soil contained in the groove (22) and release it into the containers, characterised in that it includes, extending between the wheels (3) and near the axle (2), a ring (27) intended to be passed through by the spike (20), the said ring (27) having an internal cross section slightly greater than the cross section of the spike. <IMAGE>
