The present invention relates to a gripping lever, consisting of a thin, lightweight and compact rectangular metal part (1), including a certain number of shoulders (3) so that it can fit over preserved food containers in order to handle them when they have been heated. In order to make this gripping lever as useful as possible, it has been fitted with upper fixing lugs, on either side of the lever, placed at different heights (7-8), whereas the base of the lever has been sawn to form several strips which have been bent in the direction of the corresponding upper lugs, so that they can be positioned beneath the containers and allow the heated container to be handled in complete safety. In order to promote its multi-functional use, this lever has also been fitted with the following features: fork screwdriver (4) bottle opener (6) serrated knife (18) tin opener (7) scraper (9). This type of gripping lever can be fitted onto a type of disposable heating apparatus (stove, plate-warmer, burner) to which it is attached by means of small precuts or clips, and from which it can be easily detached. <IMAGE>
