PURPOSE:To achieve a favorable recording while preventing the adherence of ink during a long period of storage from happening by applying a tube, the material of which is polyethylene or ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and the sectional ratio of which is specified. CONSTITUTION:In order to reduce pressure loss of negative pressure which is generated at the pump section, and improve the recovery properties, it is required to make the inner diameters of a cap tube 21, sub-tank tube 11 and communicating tube 19 small. That is, the viscosity increased ink, bubble, and adhered dust and diet in a recording head 1 need to be eliminated assuredly by pressure difference between the pressure in a cap and sub-tank pressure. For this reason, if a tube made of polyethylene and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer is constituted to have a very thick wall, and at the same time, the ratio between the ink passage sectional area which is determined by the inner diameter of the tube and the area of the wall part of the tube is made to be 5% or less, adherence of the ink does not take place, and a favorable result can be obtained. |
