<p>A cleating device (10) is disclosed in which the device is a generally inflexible elongated length having a helical loop (12) and opposed downwardly projecting and generally vertical segments (14, 16). The device may be mounted to a suitable substrate and a flexible length of material (26) placed about the looped portion. This results in the flexible length of material being releasably secured thereto without the use of knots or any other subsequent tying.</p> |
