Marker intended especially for allowing greater ease of recognition of objects or articles which have been stolen or taken, either from vehicles, homes or places of business, which consists of a tubular component, flattened at one of the ends, to which is welded a plate provided with a central groove for application of a sheet with letters or numerals to be engraved, by means of a jet of sand introduced by a compressed-air gun, and provided with a bracket at its planar end which will serve for fitting copper letters or numerals when this is appropriate. <IMAGE>
