<p>The paper tape is pulled axially from a fixed reel so that it twists, and passed through converging funnels to crush it and increase its resistance to tearing before being woven. Two tapes may be combined by being pulled from two reels arranged on a common axis one reel being half and iameter of the other reel. The fabric is used as a wall-covering. Increased strength of the tape reduces weft breaks.</p> |
