A reference current generating circuit including a voltage generating circuit for outputting a constant voltage having resistance means MP1 and a MOS transistor MN1 between first and second voltages, and a MOS diode (MN3) and a resister (R1) connected between the constant voltage and the second voltage. Constant current is output in the amount obtained by dividing a value which is obtained by subtracting the threshold voltage of the MOS diode MN3 from the constant voltage, by the resistance value of the resister (R1). The effects of changes in threshold voltage of MN1 are substantially cancelled out by those in MN3, therefore, a reference current can be output, which is insusceptible to temperature and process changes. The threshold voltage of the MOS diode MN3 may be adjusted using a back-bias voltage difference or a second MOS diode may be added between the first MOS diode and the second voltage. <IMAGE> |
