The powder-actuated fastener driving tool has a barrel (11) and a breechblock (17) which are axially displaceable in a housing (1). Provided on the housing (1), on the one hand, and on the barrel (11) and on the breechblock (17), on the other hand, are mutually co-operating stops (3a, 17e) and shoulders (8b, 11e), which first limit the displacement of the barrel (11) and, after a further displacement path, the displacement of the breechblock (17) counter to the driving direction.
