<p>The invention concerns a compact sighting device with large angular sweep capability for optronic equipment installed in aircraft. The sighting device (1) comprises an azimuth structure (2), forming the casing of the device (1) and able to move through 360 DEG about the azimuth axis Y'OY, an elevation structure (3) mounted on the structure (2) by means of bearings (A) and (B) disposed on either side of an optical image transmission assembly (M1-M4) and an entrance window (10) whose first dimension in the direction of sweep in elevation of the line of sight covers 90 DEG in positive elevation and at least 20 DEG in negative elevation with respect to the RHF and whose other dimension (1) is reduced to the width of the entrance pupil. Application, in particular, to the three-dimensional location and/or acquisition of targets for an air-to-air interception system. <IMAGE></p> |
