The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a package for piece goods, in particular multi-packs, which is formed from a supporting framework of angular packaging elements with at least one open frame panel. According to the invention, a strip (1) of flat packaging material is drawn off at least one supply roll (2) and applied tightly to the goods (4), leaving a protruding edge (3). The strip lying against the goods is then closed to form a loop (5) and the protruding edge (3) is folded over for the purpose of forming angular packaging elements.
