<p>A pipe joint to be used in screw-engagement with the pipe thread of a fluid apparatus, and intends to eliminate insufficient sealing by simple means utilizing a bevelled part left, though somewhat, on the entrance of the hole of a male thread, said joint providing with a thread engageable with any of a plurality of kinds of threads used as a pipe thread and having the same nominal diameter. For attaining the purpose, a male screw, which is to engage with a female pipe screw for the fluid apparatus and has threads engageable with female threads in a plurality of kinds having the same nominal diameter, is provided with, at the base end thereof, a diverging part (21) having a taper angle of about 90 DEG , and, on said diverging part, a seal member (22) for sealing the gap between the female pipe screw of the fluid apparatus and the male screw is provided correspondingly to a bevelled part (24) lying in a position slightly outside of the outermost root diameter of the entrance of the female pipe screw.</p> |
